Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU) is a state university located in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, India. It was established in 2000 as Uttar Pradesh Technical University (UPTU) and was renamed as AKTU in 2015 after the former President of India, Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam.

AKTU offers undergraduate and postgraduate programs in various fields such as engineering, technology, management, architecture, pharmacy, and applied sciences. The university has over 800 colleges affiliated with it and over 5 lakh students enrolled in its various programs.

AKTU is known for its focus on research and innovation, and has established centers of excellence in areas such as nanotechnology, renewable energy, and biotechnology. The university also promotes entrepreneurship among its students and has set up a Technology Business Incubator (TBI) to help them start their own ventures.
